BOM Guest Blogger, Linda!

President Kimball has told us to “study the scriptures and let them govern our lives…” I have just finished ready 3 Nephi. When I began 3 Nephi I wanted to really focus on the things that Jesus said, and I wanted to read it as if he was talking to me. The words of 3 Nephi took on new meaning. The Beatitudes meant more to me than they ever have before. I felt as the people of Nephi did when they cried because they did not want Him to leave. I read 3 Nephi very slowly; I did not want it to end. Each day as I read I prayed that the Spirit would help me to do the things that the Savior was telling me and that the scriptures I was reading would help me govern my life. I am so grateful for the Book of Mormon Challenge. The Book of Mormon brings such peace into my life and my testimony has been strengthened. Keep up the good work and keep reading. It will be so worth it. I love all of you. Linda

Mt. Timpanogos Temple Baptistry Drop in Times

Mt. Timpanogos Temple Baptistry Drop in Times

Tuesday-Friday morning on days when Alpine School District is in session:
Patrons begin lining up between 5:00 and 5:30 am. Baptisms will continue until they have to leave for school.

Tuesday-Friday evenings:
Patrons should arrive at 7:30 pm. Baptisms begin at 8:00 pm. The doors to the baptistery close at 8:15 pm at the latest

There is no Saturday morning or daytime drop in time year round.
There is no week day morning drop-in time on days when school is not in session. The evening drop-in time is available year round.

All drop in times work on a fist come basis. The number of baptisms each patron can do will depend on the number of patrons waiting to be served.

WARD GROUPS SHOULD MAKE AN APPOINTMENT RATHER THAN USE THE DROP IN TIME

I encourage you all to go do baptisms for the dead!

Cake Decorating

Deacons planned a great mutual activity last tonight. All the youth sat around tables. Each table was given a round cake and 2 rectangle cakes. They were also allowed to choose what frosting and candy decor they wanted to use.... Here is what they came up with...
The boys BEATLE cakes. Beehives Gumball Cake

The only co-ed team.

Team Lisa, Syd, Sis. Linda, and Shelbie

I could barely get a pictures of their cake because they ate it so fast!

Team Rabbit.
Keegan!

I am a long time blogger and like to think I know what I am doing, but for the life of me I could not get these pictures to cooperate and I didn't have time to start again. Sorry. Hope you enjoy them anyway!

Welcome to our new sports director, Amy D!

We are so excited to have a new sports director! Here is some fun stuff to now about Amy. Some of her hobbies are gardening, painting, and drawing. She likes all sports, but her favorite one is tennis. Her favorite temple is the Mt. Thimpanogos. One of her favorite scripture is Romans 8:35-39. Something random to know about her is she has a one eyed cat. Thank you Amy! We are so excited to have you in the young women.
